About

Foundations Care is a not-for-profit organisation committed to improving the lives of children, young people and families through protection, connection, support and advocacy. With a strong focus on child wellbeing, Foundations Care provides foster care and support services designed to help children who are unable to live safely with their families. The organisation works to provide safe, stable and nurturing environments where children can feel accepted, valued and supported while their individual needs are addressed.

Foundations Care supports people who are considering becoming foster carers through a structured journey that includes information, application assistance, assessment, training, approval, matching and ongoing support. Prospective carers can receive guidance throughout the process, while approved carers have access to experienced caseworkers, ongoing education and 24/7 support. The organisation offers different foster care options, including emergency, respite or short-break, short-term and long-term care, helping families explore an arrangement that may suit their circumstances
